"Join the Vampire Academy and Experience Augmented Reality. Click here and put your face on the cover of a best seller book. Are you tempted? Watch "Vampire Academy" come to life with your likeness! Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It's winter break at St. Vladimir's, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy's crawling with Guardians--including Rose's hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if handto- hand combat with her mom wasn't bad enough, Rose's tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason's got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa's head while she's making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks.... This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price..."
My Rating★★★★★

Quote(s) I Like:
"Malicious or not, strong leaders always attract followers." - Rose

"Sweat isn't a bad thing. Some of the best things in life happen while sweating." - Adrian

"I couldn't return that...couldn't give her what she wanted. Not when...Not when my heart is somewhere else. You were right, about how I fight to say in control. No one else has ever figured that out -- and it scared me. You scare me." - Dimitri

My Thoughts:
Outstanding sequel!

Rose is still a witty character that has grown up a bit more than she has in Vampire Academy. Her relationship with Dimitri was pure beauty, especially towards the end. The love story is really compelling and addicting! We are introduced to Adrian in this story and I am very intrigued by his character and can't wait to see where the plot goes. Adrian definitely seemed to have had a lot to talk about both on a physical level and an "educational" one. I wanted to cry for Mia and the death in her family, but I love that she and Rose grew to sort of like one another. Mason...all I will say is I cried my eyes out for his misfortunate end.

Besides being introduced to Adrian we are also introduced to Janine Hathaway -- Rose's well known dhampir mother. The fact that Janine gave Rose a black eye over a discussion about her father is very intriguing and raises the question of what happened to her father and if he will play a huge roll in her life the next couple of books.

The ending though, for Rose, was amazing. She killed two Strigois, got her tattoos and rekindled a mother daughter relationship.

Overall Conclusion:
Loved Frostbite because of all the love, drama, action and blood spills. I'm excited to see what's next in Shadow Kiss!
