Irresponsible was one word used to describe Prince Liam. Liam preferred fun-loving. After years of pulling pranks on his fellow nobles and ruining balls, Liam’s prospects for a bride are looking dim. At his wits’ end, Liam’s father arranges a marriage between Liam and his best friend Cordelia. She is the last person in the world Liam wants to marry. When Liam confesses this to her, she transforms Liam with a curse.

Now Liam must escape her clutches while breaking her spell, but he is trapped in her castle with no way to escape. His only hope is to persuade Cordelia’s servant Gabrielle to help him. However, Gabrielle has a secret of her own, and helping Liam is something she cannot do.
My Rating: ★★★★★

My Thoughts:
This was such an outstanding YA Fantasy Romance for me. I loved the different aspects of family drama, incest, friendship, love, betrayal and so much more. A. C. Harrah has created a novel that follows seamlessly. My only compliant was that the world building was not there. I felt like there could have been more to learn about the kingdoms and people in it. However, despite the lack of world building I was still pulled in at every turning page.

The basics: Liam is a young prince that loves to play games, do pranks and avoid his duty as future king. He even refuses to find a bride. The night of yet another ball for him to find a bride, he and his friend Cordelia prank the guests. In the end, his father punishes him by agreeing to marry him off to Cordelia. He says no because he sees her as a sister which causes Cordelia to become angry and curse Liam. He is cursed and transformed into an animal. The only way to break the curse is to feel the pain Cordelia felt.

From the start I enjoyed this book. Learning about Liam and how immature he was kept me hooked. Cordelia was an interesting character for me. I liked her, then hated her and then loved her at the end. She was a major b*tch in how she treated Liam and how she abandoned Gabrielle.

Gabrielle was an awesome character, but to find out who she really was add another plot twist to the story. Riona was such a sweet character. I totally loved her and to find out why she ran away from home killed me. I had to cry for her.

I couldn't stand Alan. I tried to but he was just the jealous younger brother that didn't care for his older brother. It disgusted me how he acted at the end of the story.

The ending was perfect! Liam matured, found love and it was just the perfect happily ever after.

Totally enjoyed reading this book.
