Synopsis:
Love. Romance. Sex. There's a first time for everything...

As far as Bliss Edwards can tell, she's the last virgin standing, certainly amongst her friends. And she's determined to deal with the 'problem' as quickly and simply as possible.

But her plan for a no-strings one night stand turns out to be anything but simple. Especially when she arrives for her first class and recognises her hot new British professor.

She'd left him naked in her bed just 8 hours earlier...

My Rating:

Quote I Liked

"There was a reason I hadn't had sex yet, and now I knew it. I was a control freak...But sex...that was the opposite of control. There were emotions, and attraction, and the pesky other person that just had to be involved. Not my idea of fun." - Bliss

My Thoughts

Wow this was absolutely beautiful. I loved Bliss and Garrick as characters.

Bliss is a college senior and still a virgin so she is determined to lose her virginity before college ends. She meets Garrick at a bar and assumes he's a college student while he assumes she's a college graduate.

Bliss was an awesome character! I enjoyed her indecisiveness. She meets Garrick and has an instant connection with him, but once they get close to having sex she runs off. When she arrives to class for her first semester she realizes that Garrick is her professor. Can you say mortifying! Yes and no. She instantly feels bad, but stays attracted to him. She tries to fight off her emotions by hanging out with her friends and getting semi-cozy with Cade, her male best friend, but she only delays the inevitable.

Garrick is hot, young and British. What more can a girl ask for? He is instantly drawn to Bliss both mentally and sexually. When he arrives to teach a class and see's her as his students he gets confused but he plays it cool. He tries to warn himself away from her, but he can't. He's totally fixated on being with her.

Their relationship was intense without being too intimate. I loved seeing their relationship grow into what it became. They were absolutely perfect together. When the sexual tension got high it didn't drown the book, it kept a perfect pace and still allowed for the romance, comedy to pour through.

My first Cora Carmack read = perfection.
