This was an interesting BDSM novel. It wasn't too intense. Definitely had its moments, but it was drowned in extreme pain. I liked the contemporary feel it had to it. Very nice storyline and flow.

Caroline is high class woman working for her family financial magazine. The company is on the verge of being bankrupt if they don't join a merger which includes a BDSM club. She hesitates because she sees that lifestyle as wrong and shameful. It isn't until she steps into Serve and into hands of Jonah, club owner, that she learns a lot more about pain and pleasure. I loved her personal battle within herself because her body was in-tune with the lifestyle, but her logic always seemed to come rolling back. She definitely was able to learn a lot and mature into an even higher powered woman with her newfound lifestyle and knowledge.

Jonah is the owner of Serve, a well known BDSM club. He has never really experienced the desire to be with a woman for more than just pain and pleasure. That all ends when he spots Caroline on his monitor and takes the time to leave his office and divulge in her. Jonah was definitely a domineering man that knew what he wanted and how to get it. I loved watching him break his rules, breakdown and open up to the idea of love. Jonah was freaking awesome!

The romance was absolutely amazing. It was sort of a push & pull love between the two. Caroline kept denying herself what she wanted because she didn't see it as "normal" but when she finally allowed herself to she experienced such a profound love with Jonah. The two were made for each other.

I'm definitely enjoying Tessa Bailey and plan to continue reading more of her books.
