Synopsis:
Art appraiser Adeline Montgomery just wants a normal life. One where she can ignore the vicious ghosts who follow her. One where she’s free from her “gift” of touching an object and seeing the owner’s deepest secrets. And one where she can fall in love without having all of the above get in the way.

But when tall, dark, and dangerous gallery owner Blake Greenwood enters her life, normal is the last thing she’s feeling. The man has more secrets than the priceless art he sells, giving Adeline’s quest for normal no chance. That, and he may just hold the key to uncovering the truth behind her father’s unexplained disappearance.

Despite her paranormal gifts warning her to stay away, she feels an inexplicable, captivating fascination for him, something that goes deeper than attraction. There’s something between them that’s older than time, and if she can learn to give him her trust, it may just save her life.

My Rating:

Quote(s) I Like:
"The perfect life can disappear without warning. Like an elegantly designed wisp of smoke, it can be here one minute then gone the next." - Adeline

"You know sometimes wisdom arrives in the form of fear. It warns us, keeps us safe. But sometimes our fears can push away the wisdom. We must discern which is which." - Carolena

My Thoughts:
This was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed the story line, characters and psychic aspects as well. Everything flowed seamlessly and the drama was definitely intriguing. So many secrets and lies that it kept me gripped until the end.

Adeline Montgomery has just lost her father and grandfather who worked for an art firm. Her family is well versed in the paranormal realm with psychic abilities and being able to see and speak to the dead. Adeline has decided to follow in her father and grandfather's footsteps and use her gift in the art world. Adeline has psychic abilities in which she can see the past when touching something of an owners, see and speak to the dead and she's also an emphatic -- psychic wise. Adeline is strong and caring. She puts her all into loving someone. She's also very honest in everything that she does. I loved her.

Blake Greenwood is amazing. I thought he was twisted at first when he first shows up with Otto, but as the story progresses I instantly love him. He has the ability to push which is amazing -- in essence he can convince just about everyone to do anything. He is sweet, kind, hot, pleasurable and downright outstanding.

The romance between Adeline and Blake is just amazing. First off, they were lovers in a past life (the 1920's) which is freaking awesome! They can talk to one another in their dreams. They were just meant to be together. I love that Adeline and Blake instantly felt their connection to one another, but how they took time trying to understand it all for themselves. Just amazing.

Otto is a very devious man with his own psychic abilities. He is seriously crazy. Forgeries, murdering people, using innocent women -- I mean seriously he needs help. I will say he played the villain role very well. Finding out who he was to Blake and all the things he put both Blake and Adeline through -- I have high hopes that he will end up where he belongs in jail.

With all the secrets somewhat revealed I am extremely excited to continue on with the sequel, Somewhere In Time. I hope good things happen with a bit of action and drama for Blake and Adeline.
